Strapped for time in the morning? Now you can eat on-the-go from your own fridge!!
Breakfast can be daunting for most. Take my daughter for instance. She's one fussy girl when it comes to her meals especially breakfast. She doesn't like smoothies, nor porridge and making eggs on sourdough toast takes up too much of her time to prepare.
An easy option I introduced her to were Greek Yogurt breakfast pots. All that is required is a little preparation the night before and it can be a take and go the next morning.
There are few key nutrition principles to take note of, even if it's only a humble little yogurt pot. Protein, fat and fibre.
To make it a balanced and total meal, you can freely add the following:
1. Nuts - Almonds, Pecans, Pistachios, Macadamias, Walnuts
2 Fruit - Berries, Kiwi, Passion Fruit, Banana, Citrus, Pomegranate
3. Seeds - Flaxseed, Chia, Pepitas
4. Fiber - Oats, Granola
5. Spices - Cinnamon, Nutmeg
The night before you can put the yogurt into your bowl, chop up the fruit and measure out the nuts, seeds and oats. In the morning all you need to do is put all together and enjoy.
